Prayer & The Word

There’s many duties and responsibilities that those in the ministry must engage in. Of them, prayer and The Word of God are the two most important. Prayer keeps one’s spirit & soul sensitive to God’s Spirit. Prayer is like breathing, necessary for life. The study of The Word of God is also important because it is important to God. God took the time to give us His Word and we should take the time to study it so we can share it. The Word of God is truth. This world needs truth. While we may have many wants in ministry, there are only two needs….prayer and The Word of God. Finally, the people we pastor need us to be in touch with God (prayer) and in possession of the truth (The Word). The only sure way to know that we are leading right is to do it God’s way. Pray for your pastor(s) to be men and women of prayer and The Word.
